HISTORIC DOWNTOWN ELKIN EATERIES:
Fiddles Pub located in downtown Elkin at 323 W Main Street has a menu for casual dining, which includes delicious beef brisket sandwiches, Reubens, burgers, steaks, wraps, pizza, baskets of homemade chips (and other finger foods) and more. Great for a night out with friends, but also family friendly for lunch or dinner. Their beer selection includes 30+ different varieties with Guinness on tap, and a varied selection of wines. Angry Troll Brewing at Two-Twenty-Two (pictured in the banner above) is located at 222 E Main St and offers 15 big screen TV's and late night hours for sports fans to watch their favorite teams while enjoying wood-fired pizzas, burgers, subs, wings, appetizers, and more. Beer and wine available, and a casual family atmosphere offers a great space in Elkin's East Main Street historical district to hang out in for hours. Building is newly renovated (was an old tobacco warehouse years ago) and is gorgeous inside with beautiful high exposed beamed ceilings. Restaurant on main level is open for lunches Friday through Monday. Closed all day on Tuesday and Wednesday, but open for dinners & apps late night Thursday through Monday. Southern on Main
Chef and owner, Marla Stern, has opened the newest restaurant in downtown Elkin as of July 2016. They are open (Tuesday thru Saturday 11 am to 9 pm) for lunches and dinners serving southern-style dishes, soups & salads, sandwiches, entrees and small plates, and specializing in certified Angus steaks. In downtown, on the corner of Hwy 21 & Main Street, you'll find outdoor or indoor dining, a full bar, and excellent wait service for that special occasion. Take out available. Roxxi and Lulu's Bistro & Bakery
Roxxi & Lulu's has expanded to a new location on 280 Standard Street (in the old Heaven's Scent restaurant). Since December 2015 they've been creating delicious breakfast and lunch dishes, and now they have expanded to dinners 2 nights a week. Seating is limited, so if your party is large, please call in advance for a reservation if possible. Breakfast is served all day, and lunches start at noon. As they are still a bakery, they offer baked goodies to drop by and pick up, just like before. Or, grab a goodie and enjoy with a specialty coffee! Royall's Soda Shoppe is at 128 W Main Street and has been a favorite for decades in Elkin. Casual nostalgic atmosphere, same great food reasonably priced. If you were there as a kid, your name is still probably carved into the wood booths! Known for their famous hot dogs piled high with toppings, sandwiches, salads, burgers, and ice cream. Open for lunch at 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday. Always open late during downtown festivals and holiday events. BRIDGE STREET and CC CAMP ROAD RESTAURANTS:
Prime Thai Restaurant at 642 N Bridge Street, has traditional Thai cooking with specialties (including Pad Thai and Curry dishes) from all across the country which includes a delicate balance of textures, colors and flavors. Thai food emphasis is on a delectable blending of four primary flavors of sweet, sour, hot, and spicy...and there is a wide selection from mild to hot temperatures to choose from. Not all Thai cooking is spicy hot, although it is all flavorful! If you are unfamiliar with our food, it would be our pleasure to assist you choosing dishes that you'll enjoy. Amalfi's Pizza Italian Restaurant is located near the Elkin WalMart in the shopping plaza behind Zaxby's, at 544 CC Camp Road, off of I-77 exit 85. Although you place your order up at the counter before you sit down, don't let that stop you from enjoying a meal here. The food is brought to your table and the service is good. They also offer wine on the menu from local vineyards. The pizza is very tasty, and they have a good selection of subs, salads and hot dinners as well as daily specials. Mazzini's Italian Restaurant located at 1521 N Bridge Street, has a large, varied selection of Appetizers, Salads, Sandwiches and Subs, Pizzas, Pasta Dishes, and House Specialties (Chicken, Veal, Shrimp, Steak, and Salmon). Their menu satisfies the Italian food lover along with those just looking for a great specialty dish. Everything you order at Mazzini's is homemade, including their soups and sauces, plus delicious homemade Peanut Butter Pie. Check for daily lunch specials and Senior discounts on Wednesday nights. El Ahorro is located at 1019 N Bridge St and is not only a Mexican Restaurant, it is also a Hispanic Market with a fantastic selection of cut meats and other specialty items. The restaurant offers lunch and dinners and a wide variety of Mexican combination platters along with other dishes such as Grilled Steak Fajita, Fried Tilapia, Marinated Pork Chops, seafood -chicken-or beef stews, and so much more. La Fuente has been open since 2001 and is definitely worth a stop if you are craving Mexican cuisine. Located at 1627 N Bridge Street, just north of Hwy 268, LaFuente has fun atmosphere, an extensive menu (over 200 items), and huge servings of your favorite dishes. Special events here include Mother's Day (a rose for mom), Cinco de Mayo (specials on Margaritas and beers), and birthday celebrations (it's a surprise...come see for yourself!) Favorite recommended dishes include Texas Fajitas Fundidas, Arroz con Pollo, and Chori Pollo, and for dessert, cheesecake wrapped in a flour tortilla and deep fried. Dodge City located at 2001 N Bridge St, offers a local steakhouse with a separate (full) bar area as well. The menu offers a large selection of burgers, steaks, pork and chicken, and a variety of other grilled entrees, salads, sandwiches, BBQ ribs and more. Plenty of seating for large parties. Elkin Creek Vineyard Tasting Room is open for fresh, stone-oven baked pizza every Sunday. Be sure to call a few days in advance to reserve a pizza for your visit, as the dough is made on Saturdays. Casual fine dining at the golf course
Cedarbrook Grille at Cedarbrook Country Club is open to the public 7 days a week for lunch and Friday evenings with a fantastic dinner menu that includes steaks (ribeye, filet), seafood (salmon, shrimp) and more! The lunch menu includes delicious salads, quesadillas, burgers, club sandwiches, Reubens and more. Plus, every Sunday, their Brunch has delicious home cooking the entire family will enjoy at reasonable prices. They also have a full bar with a big screen TV for watching sporting events.
