The Sample Store is located at 103 E Main Street. This specialty store is filled with fabrics, trim, holiday accessories, hand crafted and hand painted items done in-house. Beautiful arrangements and custom-made items are also available. Unique to the area, you won't want to miss this little shop that has been here since 1982! Yadkin Valley Quilts opened in September of 2017 at 109 W Main Street in downtown. Yadkin Valley Quilts is a working and teaching quilt studio specializing in creating custom quilts and memory quilts, and educating others in the art of quilting.
We offer classes for beginner to advanced quilters, as well as quilt kits, blocks of the month, quilt-alongs, open sew times, and more.
Our studio also features handcrafted items from local and regional artisans, Custom Quilts, Memory & T-Shirt Quilts, Longarm Quilting, and Embroidery.

Aladdin's Hallmark is in North Elkin at 2119 N Bridge St (next to the Belk Department Store). This is not your ordinary Hallmark store, in fact it has some of the most interesting home accessories and colorful displays in town, and has been in this location for 21 years. Besides cards, stationary, and seasonal decorations, Tommie Ford (owner) also offers Willow Tree Collectibles, Tyler Candle Company, and Greenwich Bay Trading Company Botanic Soaps (made in Raleigh).
This friendly group of girls wants you to know they carry floral arrangements, wreaths, wine-lovers gifts, lotions, baby gifts, holiday cards, ornaments...you can even buy a Christmas tree fully decorated. Country Roads Emporium opened March 2019 at 240 Standard Street in downtown Elkin. Featuring Simply Southern clothing, Leaning Tree cards, gifts, garden decor, primitive home decor and accessories, gourmet dips and mixed savory cracker seasonings, and floral arrangements from home wreaths to cemetery flowers. They also offer Mayfield ice cream, smoothies, specialty coffees, shaved ice treats and even snow cream, with some indoor seating. Stop by and visit owner Darlene Billings today! The November Room - Shopping - Crafts - Coffee - Wine - Casual Seating. The November Room is bigger and better than ever and has relocated to 206 E Main Street! Inside this newly renovated building in historic downtown, you'll find vendors with beautiful gifts ideas, ladies clothing, home accessories, soaps, jewelry, furniture, and so much more. Check their fb page for weekly art classes offered in the evenings. There is always something fun going on and the artists will also provide instruction for private parties!
