That was quite the record-breaking tsunami of river trail aficionados we experienced last weekend. Meanwhile the 2012 Tour de Yadkin continues downriver. Be sure to read Dean's week two journal report below and, if you get the chance, send him a note of support, or better yet, get out there and paddle with our Yadkin Riverkeeper before he reaches the finish line next Saturday, June 23, at Morrow Mountain State Park!

Elkin Valley Trails Assoc Fund Raiser, BOOTS & BRIDGES BOOGIE at the REEVES THEATER

This is it, folks!  We really need your support ... Elkin Valley Trails Association's fundraiser is Tuesday evening, June 26. Money raised will help us get the suspension footbridges over the Elkin Creek on the E&A Rail Trail built.  Lowe's funding will go towards materials, but we still need funds to finish the project!  These bridges are a critical step in getting us all on the trail.  Come dance to the Jump Blues/Swing band and harmonica superpower, Dennis Gruenling with Doug Deming and th...
