Devin Reavis is an Elkin resident that is making quite a name for himself in the racing world. He is an 8th grader at Elkin Middle School, and has given up all other sports to focus on becoming a professional cyclist and race with the best, just like his mentor and coach, former Elkin High School graduate, Chris Monteleone. Since February of 2012, Devin has participated in 16 races, most of which he travels out of town with his family, but this is a sacrifice they are all gladly making. The n...

Do you remember how torn up our sidewalk was along N Bridge Street from the beautiful trees that were planted downtown years ago? Here is the BEFORE photo....
 

And here is the AFTER photo...I sure miss the trees, but this really looks so much nicer! Next comes new planters to add some of the greenery back to downtown...

One minute the window you drive by has a huge painting catching your attention. The next time, you notice colorful images strewn across a store front, or a display that looks so fabulous, it draws you in. Who is responsible for all of this color, creativity and artistic flair along our downtown streets?
