The Main Street Advisory Board's mural on Twenty One & Main is now complete!! The Main Street Advisory Board, the Elkin TDA, Surry Wineries group, Chris Mahon of ACM Agency, L Payne, and Jeff and Erika (owners of the building) contributed to the costs to make this work!!  Also, Mr John Kennedy offered housing for the mural artist while he did the work, and Welborn Electric donated the lift for the artist to extend the clouds high on the wall. Thanks so much to everyone who contributed to the ...

Elkin Valley Trails Assoc Fund Raiser, BOOTS & BRIDGES BOOGIE at the REEVES THEATER

This is it, folks!  We really need your support ... Elkin Valley Trails Association's fundraiser is Tuesday evening, June 26. Money raised will help us get the suspension footbridges over the Elkin Creek on the E&A Rail Trail built.  Lowe's funding will go towards materials, but we still need funds to finish the project!  These bridges are a critical step in getting us all on the trail.  Come dance to the Jump Blues/Swing band and harmonica superpower, Dennis Gruenling with Doug Deming and th...

Great shots of the ol' bridge we knew and loved, which used to connect Elkin to Jonesville.  As it aged, it was used as a walking bridge only, until the state tore it down this year.
