Friend of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail Annual Conference to be held in Elkin!

March 24-26 (2017) this 40th anniversary celebration of the MST will be held in here in Elkin, North Carolina!  We are expecting 300 members from around North Carolina to join us for a 3-day weekend, filled with conference events, and Elkin has also put together a number of fun and exciting events and tours that are scheduled all weekend long!

The Mountains-to-Sea Trail (MST) is a long-distance trail, for hiking and  backpacking, that runs across North Carolina from the Great Smoky Mountains to the Outer Banks. The trail's western endpoint is at Clingman's Dome, where it connects to the Appalachian Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
