Old Time Bluegrass Jam Session was alive and well today at Carolina Heritage Winery from 2:00 - 5:00pm. First to arrive were the Elkin Creek Boys and they really put on a great show. Pictured here are (not in order) Ted Dixon from Jonesville on banjo, Wayne Smith, Sr from Elkin on acoustic guitar, Barry Carlton from Elkin on mandolin, Steve Block from Winston-Salem with the upright bass and Chris Shore from Hamptonville on guitar. The acoustics in the wine tasting room are fabulous, and Pat and Clyde Colwell, owners of Carolina Heritage, really enjoy supporting the local musicians in the area. Next time they have their Jam Session on October 22nd, be sure to head on out for some great tunes. If you play, bring your instrument...all are welcome to join in!
