Along I-77 there are some great places to stay, but in Elkin we have something fun, romantic, unique and out-of-the-ordinary.  Below you'll find some fantastic places that are quaint, cozy, and located in beautiful settings here in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, near Stone Mountain State Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Stay in historic downtown Elkin... (NEW listing for 2017!)
Maggy's Place -  This quaint 1-bedroom cottage was once a ticket office for the old Elkin & Allegheny Railroad.  It's listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and was recently restored to perfection as an overnight rental option during your next stay in Elkin! Victorian House - This vacation rental house offers a lovely mix of antiques and modern conveniences. On the main floor is a parlor, formal living and dining rooms, kitchen and family room. The bedroom and bathroom (en suite) on main floor has a large walk-in shower, styled with subway tile. For a unique and enchanted cabin setting...

Big Elkin Creek Farm is a large, authentic, mid-1800's 2-bedroom log cabin (sleeps 6 or more) located on a 35-acre homestead. As you sit on the front porch overlooking the pond you might see a family of ducks, hear a rooster saying hello, listen to the bullfrog sing or the buzz of some honey bees. Slightly Askew Winery House- Slightly Askew Winery now offers a newly renovated vacation home that is located behind the tasting room, and only a few minutes from the downtown area. The rental house has three bedrooms, 2 baths, newly renovated kitchen & bathrooms, and is furnished beautifully with a classic, comfy style. There is also a big deck off of the back for grilling out. Klondike Cabins began as a "stylish retreat for hunting and vacationing" for Chatham Manufacturing back in the 1920s, but today they are available for weddings, family reunions, and corporate get-togethers. You can also individually book their 2 cozy cabins or gorgeous main lodge (with 4 bedrooms) for your enjoyment. Hike along the woodsy trails that take you along Grassy Creek where you'll find a smaller replica of the Hoover Dam (which creates their private pond for fishing). Views of the winery, the tasting room and vineyards surround you, yet you are still in shaded, peaceful surroundings. RV lovers and campers take note!...

Byrd's Branch Campground is located in Elkin, North Carolina, and connects to the Mountain to Sea Trail through the Elkin to Stone Mountain Trail. Enjoy a day of hiking to 2 area wineries, or let Byrd’s Branch Campground be your destination for an overnight, or extended stay vacation in the Yadkin Valley Wine Region.
